Responsibilities:
Create and set-up production files from design team artwork Produce both physical prints and physical components Operate CNC Handle basic printer and CNC maintenance Maintain ink, tools and basic material inventory Any other task required Skills and Characteristics:
Design software skills - Adobe CC (primarily Illustrator & Photoshop) as well as understanding of RIP software Understand print set-up and process as it relates to signs Strong communication skills.
With many variables occurring in sign work, the production designer will need to be able to ask questions to the job managers to clarify intent and scope of work Excel in multitasking.
Many jobs will be in production at the sametime.
This individual will need to understand the priorities that are set and how to produce using several pieces of equipment in unison.
Critical thinking as a form of quality control.
PD will act as a added layer of review to each project to insure signs are produced using proper materials and that the quality is up to Valley Signs standards Process Oriented.
Many processes exist for a variety of job types.
Processes need to be understood, followed and repeated precisely to maintain the Valley Signs standard Proactive mindset.
Things move quickly.
Maintenance and inventory need to overseen to avoid issues with the flow of production We are willing to train the right person, but proficient adobe illustrator skills are a must $18-$22/hr Pay is commensurate with experience.
